Hear ye, hear ye, this week at Adeo Web, a most joyous occasion has blessed our ranks – the inauguration of a new Certified Scrum Master (otherwise known as CSM). With the new addition of Dominykas, there are now a total of three Masters amidst our groups.
At the company, we think that a person should evolve together with the world. Which is why we take it upon ourselves to help our team members along. Whether it’s seminars, projects or other educational gatherings, we are more than happy to let our team attend. The Scrum Master Certification is a great example — the course one has to take is no easy task, but the knowledge gained and getting to call yourself a master makes it all worth it.
You might be wondering: ‘What is a Scrum Master, anyway?’
Are they really good at making eggs or something? No, you might be thinking of a scramble master here.
A scrum master is a person who is responsible for overseeing and helping their fellow team members with what we call an Agile Scrum methodology.
Adeo Web has been applying the Agile Scrum methodology for quite some time now. To boil down the concept — you take apart some complex work into manageable pieces, then work on them for one or two week stretches. By planning, reviewing, and adjusting your work, Scrum strengthens the team itself and defines the pace that the members can keep up with. This kind of framework promotes transparency within the team as well as adaptation to new challenges and unexpected changes.
It may take time and effort to get used to being part of the Scrum flow, but our team is always up for the challenge. Moreover, the benefits are worth it!
No matter how difficult or unfamiliar the work is, you can trust the people of Adeo Web to power through with unshakable conviction and cunning. Having so many certified knowledgeable masters helps a bit, though.
Here’s to you, Dominykas — use your newly gained powers with care!
