The Adeo Web team woke up one morning in Las Vegas, the mecca of trade shows to meet the whole Magento community at the most awaited event of the year Magento Imagine 2017!
Mark Lavelle, the CEO of Magento Commerce introduced all participants with Magento Imagine by saying that: ” Imagine 2017 gives us a unique chance to discuss the trends and opportunities for growth that exist in every corner of commerce. This event is our chance to reconnect, recharge, and recalibrate our compass for the journey ahead.”
Three days with 2500 retailers, agencies, Magento enthusiasts, numbers of keynote speeches, and the biggest eCommerce leaders became an adventure of a lifetime.
Why Magento Imagine
This conference is the biggest Magento event of the year and we had at least 4 reasons to participate.
- Knowledge and improvement. Every year Magento Imagine attracts the leading eCommerce merchants. We use the opportunity to learn from the success stories of the leading merchants in eCommerce.
- New integrations and tools. Working with Magento for 8 years we are always on the same page with the platform. These conferences like Magento Imagine enable us to be the first ones to learn about the newest modules, marketing tools, or payment integrations. - The future of Magento. As a company itself, Magento had introduced us about the future plans. Improvements of the newest Magento 2 version, which company has recently released, the focus on security to ensure the safest environment for the platform. Magento Trends and Topics
What we have actually noticed at Imagine 2017 was Amazon. But not the good side of it. There are many retailers who have integrations with Amazon and sell their products using that platform. As there is a threat that Amazon could become the competitor of Magento, there were even sessions and tracks for merchants about why and how they should give up Amazon platform.
Tracks about omnichannel solutions, online growth, and payment methods were the most popular. Cybersecurity and UX were quite new topics which brought a lot of interest during the conference.
But the main message of Magento during the conference was that Magento is turning into the leader of B2B sector. No eCommerce platform was focusing on B2B sector before and Magento has plans and strategy how to improve B2B eCommerce for systems and clients.
