Over 300 eCommerce users and vendors gathered in Chicago on the 8th and 9th of October for the Midwest eCommerce Summit, and Adeo Web was there. Attending sessions, working the “room” and conducting demos, the Adeo Web team made sure to maximize our exposure and interact with several potential clients and partners.
Not all of the attendees were Magento users, so it was important that we were prepared to discuss other technologies as well. We answered questions about all major platforms and even got to talk some PIM (and meet the local Akeneo rep.). For the handful of attendees whose companies were still not doing eCommerce, we did our best to establish relationships and persuade them that Adeo Web was the go-to source to help them get into the game.
There seemed to be one common theme among the attendees. Even though most had eCommerce stores, very few felt that their efforts were realizing maximum benefit. This gave us a chance to introduce them to PWA technology. We pointed out that by increasing their sites’ speed, responsiveness and mobile performance, a corresponding increase in traffic and conversions would be almost a given. And, since PWA is “headless”, it can be implemented regardless of platform.
All in all, it was a successful and fun event, and will help Adeo Web expand its footprint and influence in the Midwest eCommerce sphere.
