Adeo Web marathon goes on! Next stop – Boston, USA. Boston is one of the oldest cities in the United States and the capital of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. It’s also a well-known center for science, culture and education.
Comes to surprise, that we had to see at least one conference while visiting Boston, too. TechConnect World Innovation was also co-located with Nanotech, SBIR/STTR and AI TechConnect conferences. For a few days, this was a home for some of the best presentations, expos and discussions on tech, as well as R&D in general. And when we say best – we mean best in the world. Nanoparticles, next level biotechnology ideas and quantum computations – there are just a few tasters on the level of scientific knowledge collected into one place. It was an incredible experience to be surrounded and listen to the ideas of tomorrow for these few short days.
Of course, being in Boston, we simply had to take the chance and visit the world-famous MIT – Massachusetts Institute of Technology. We could write a separate article on this landmark alone, but just to give you a taster – here’s a picture from the Infinite Corridor. It’s a hallway that’s 251 meters long. It runs through the main buildings of the MIT and twice in a year lines up lengthwise with the plane of the ecliptic, causing sunlight to fill the entire corridor. Named MIThenge, the event is celebrated by students and staff. Big thanks to Cristina Florea us this marvelous and geeky passage.
After filling our inner geeks and techies with enough science and ideas of tomorrow, we were ready to move to the next point of our journey – Chicago!
